Set up in 2002, we were the first private, not-for-profit company in the UK to takeover and transform a council’s entire education function – and we are proud to say we did just that. In 2012 we became a department in Hackney Council’s Children and Young People’s service and we have continued our legacy of achieving great results. Currently 91% of primary pupils, 98% of secondary pupils and 100% of special school pupils attend an outstanding or good school. We have 500 professionals working across 27 specialist service areas, ranging from Early Years provision to Adult Learning support. Our teams include ex – Headteachers, curriculum experts, specialist consultants, and school business and administration experts.
What do you do?
Our belief is that the development of staff is fundamental in moving from good to outstanding. Through central, tailored and creative Professional Training, an Annual Conference Programme and a suite of Publications and resources. We support the whole learning environment from the grass roots up.
Schools are increasingly becoming more commercially focused. Accountability is higher, timescales are shorter and budgets are tighter. Our full range of high quality and efficient Business Services such as HR, Finance and IT means leadership teams can worry less about the day to day logistics and focus on the long term outcomes.
Most importantly – we put the student at the heart of everything we do. Our Pupil Support Services include educational psychology, inclusion, speech and language and are delivered by highly qualified and experienced professionals.
