Striving for educational equity in our schools
Hackney Governors’ Conference 2024

27 June 2024, 4.30 – 7.30pm
The Atrium, Hackney Town Hall

£90 (+VAT)

Overview

Our Governors conference is specially tailored for governors, leaders and all who share our passion to transform the lives of young people in Hackney.

Join us to consider:

  • How can we dismantle the complex array of economic, social, and political obstacles that hinder young individuals from learning?
  • What steps must we take in redesigning our education system to disrupt the cycle of marginalisation experienced by young individuals in Hackney?
  • How can we strive for an equitable and socially just education system which will be enduring in how it transforms our children’s lives, so they all have an equal share of success?

We are seeking a wider audience

We want chairs of governors, members of governing boards, leaders and colleagues from across all settings and types of schools to be part of this conference. We are also seeking a new cohort of Prospective Young Governors – see how to join this project and secure a free place at our conference.

We are aiming to gather a wide audience with diverse lived experiences, so please encourage everyone you know within and beyond your wider networks to join us.
